Garnet, Montana is the most haunted city in the United States
Would you dare to stay there?
The United States has many uninhabited cities. Most of the time, these cities were built in the middle of the 19th century, near gold, silver or copper mines and are abandoned when the exploitation is no longer profitable.
The state of Montana alone has 75 ghost towns.
The town of Garnet in Montana was built by settlers in the 1860s and is now considered one of the most haunted in the United States. In its early days, it counted nearly a thousand inhabitants. However, in 1912 a major fire ravaged the city and the first world war did not help to maintain the population. The town of Garnet was then slowly deserted by the totality of its inhabitants.
Since the 1980s, a Montana association under the aegis of the federal authorities has been proposing to volunteers to renovate the city. In each summer period, many people are volunteering to revive this forgotten city. It is the government that fully finances all expenses of recruits: accommodation, travel, and food are supported.
However, many strange phenomena have been observed at Garnet. It will, therefore, be courageous to participate in the renovation of the city.
